2004 Presidential Election

Here's the coverage of yesterday's debate amongst the Democratic Presidential hopefuls, from the Des Moines Register. The Denver Post chimes in [January 5, 2004, "Dems' debate pits outsiders vs. insiders"]. Insiders and outsiders, and insider's outsiders. Haven't we seen this before in local politics? Oh yeah, last spring's Mayoral election in Denver.

Howard Dean's campaign is reminding voters that they can start voting in primaries today in the following states, Arizona, Delaware, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia. Early voting is also occuring in the District of Columbia.

Taegan Goddard reports that Wesley Clark stated that he will not accept the job of Vice President, on yesterday's Meet the Press. Clark, of course, would bring quite a bit to any other nominee's campaign, assuming he does not earn the Democratic Party's nomination.

Update: Here's a recent Rasmussen national poll on the Democratic Presidential nomination. Thanks to the Daily Kos for the link.

Update: TalkLeft is pointing to a quiz about the candidates running for the Democratic nomination.

Update: One of the finalists in MoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds political advertising contest is named Charlie Fisher. The website lists Denver as the artist's hometown. Nice work Charlie. Note: The ads are anti-President Bush.
