Denver November 2003 Election

There are openings on the Denver School Board to be filled in next week's election in addtion to Referred Qustions 3A & 3B. Here's an article about the only contested race, the contest for At-large, from the Rocky Mountain News [October 27, "3 seeking at-large seat on Denver school board"].

Some North Denver Pastors are planning to speak out against Amendment 33 today, according to the Denver Post [October 27, 2003, "Religious groups target Amend. 33"]. One Ute tribe is also opposed to the amendment, says the Post [October 27, 2003, "Utes say Amendment 33 deceptive"]. The mountain casinos are warning that Video Lottery Terminals could lead to a push to raise the betting limits to compete, according to the Post [October 27, 2003, "VLTs may lead to higher bets"].
