The Measurebator The Nikkor 35mm f/2 AF-D lens is probably my favorite lens for using with the Nikon D100 because of it's large aperture, quick autofocus and it is the normal lens for the DX format. Here's a comparison of it's performance at various apertures, including how those images 'clean up' by processing them with Photoshop to increase sharpness. Other lens qualities besides sharpness were not compared or monitored in the test, although those qualities, such as it's bokeh and contrast, contribute a lot to the images delivered by that lens.
