Comme le fait remarquer Jason Kottke, une grande compagnie qui donne gratuitement ce qui fait le pain et le beurre de petites compagnies peut annoncer la consolidation d'un monopole (bien que l'exemple de Netscape ne soit pas particulièrement illustratif d'une "petite compagnie" !).
