I'm going to the UK in two days, my family will stay there. The city they are going to live is Newcastle upon Tyne in an area called North Umbria, where they seem to speak one of the most unintelligible accent there are: Geordy. Try as I may I can't get an example of it on the web, I hope it isn't as bad as people say and that we can learn to understand it quickly. I've been so busy that I forgot to ask my faithful readers if they have any advice on the area or on the UK in general. I have mixed feelings about my family decision to split for a year. I think it will be better in the long run, but there are going to be rough times ahead. I hope everything works out for the best, so readers (yeah, both of you!) let me hear your advice!
