Watching the race, it is clear that the classification rule change, that is the fact that you can't do anything to the car before the race, has made the race more strategic. Doing only one stop is out of the question and in places like Nurburing you only do two stops if you are far behind. Knowing that all the leaders will make three stops now the problem becomes when to do it, balancing traffic an classifying. What a shameful performance for McLaren it broke all three engines. Montoya is taking care of Williams (in the sense of avoiding a good performance) all by himself... He doesn't want to go to McLaren now... This could be the end of his career... Don't believe me? Do you remember Jacques Villenueve? and he is an ex-champ!
