Google and Sun announce a yawn. After a buzz buildup worthy of Apple Computer, rumors of a browser-based office application suite by Google and Sun are just that. But you can get Java at your local Google Toolbar. By arsjade@mac.com (Charles Jade). [Ars Technica]
I was expecting nothing from Sun and Google, but they manage to put out even less than that. Gooffice is a great name, not only for an Office Suit app, but for the three guys on stage today. The only one that half saved the day was Jonathan Schwartz, but when you listen to him he says nothing! Only that somehow a community that doesn't believe in Sun will be Sun's savior. Google should get rid of Eric Schmidt he is as much as a dork as Scott Mcnealy is. And I don't mean these guys are stupid or anything, they just do not belong in a stage! They make Bill "I own it" Gates and Steve "Developer Monkey" Ballmer look like superstars! Every tech CEO should look at Steve Jobs keynotes and imitate the man...
