Venezuela has a full blown general strike, not an oil strike...
A lot of people are asking me about the oil strike. Let me make something very clear. There is a full blown general strike in Venezuela. Banks and food markets are open half day and a few stores are opening normally. There are no cinemas or public shows (except those sponsored by the government), there is no baseball, risking the lack of a venezuelan participation in the Caribbean series next February), malls are closed. The government and foreign media (and foreign governments!) need to get real about this. Is not only oil is everything. Oil is being overplayed because it limits what can be transported and it affects the US. But have no doubts about it. This is a full blown general strike that has lasted 25 days so far. Want to test our resolve? Go ahead, make our day!
