One of the rebel generals of Plaza Altamira has been kidnapped by the Political Police. I say kidnap because to detain a general in Venezuela you need an order from the Supreme Court. The general remains incommunicado, no contact with lawyers or family. Criminals supporting the government and acting, presumably, under orders of the political police, attacked the reporters, lawyers and others that were protesting the illegal detention. Once again the government seem to be managing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
