Flickr
is amazing. It deserves all the accolades it's been getting. I love two
things, one specific, one general. First, I love the way they edit
graphics. It's way beyond what I expected. Second, the attention to
detail, across-the-board, is wonderful. The user interface constantly
delights the user, with things they thought of; and you can use the
software with confidence that they are thinking about users every step

learning blogging community in a class last fall, including
an interesting series of attempts to actually follow the
conversation. Part
2 looks at the long tail phenomenon in class blog
posts and looks at ways of improving the balance of
