Smart Systems Threaten More Jobs Than Outsourcing [Slashdot] The increasing reliance on "smart systems" makes a real difference when students consider future careers because by the time a student has become educationally qualified for a "management" position the smart system may be already doing the job.  There are some types of  careers that involve human interaction and interpersonal caring that may be safe from outsourcing to smart systems for quite some time.  With the exponential growth in computing power and the synergy of the internet the good news is that creating your own career job with a staff of smart systems is increasingly within reach - just consider what has happened to the publishing industry with the development of ever increasingly smart systems like personal sites and RSS connectivity. --BL
