Violent Video Game Law Struck Down [Slashdot]
There is little appreciation for the power of modeling on the behaviour
of children and the responsiblity entailed in promoting violent
approaches to human conflicts. For some the profits of
sensationalism are more important than the death and distruction that
necessarily follows from usage of violent video games. Some of
the problem is because the legal system is based on an inaccurate
prescientific conception of human decison making and behavior that
affords too much responsiblity to individual rational choice and too
little responsiblity to the situational vairiables (in this case
violent video games). -- BL
