Contagious obesity? Identifying the human adenoviruses that may make us fat.

There is a lot of good advice to help us avoid becoming obese, such as "Eat less," and "Exercise." But here's a new and surprising piece of advice based on a promising area of obesity research: "Wash your hands." -- this is the face of the culture with anorexia where fat is a moral issue -- what if fat was a symptom of a regular disease rather than a psychological lapse.  Might medicalizing obesity make it treatable without social ostracism or would it simply be like leprosy - a low class disease? -- BL
