By the way for anyone who wants to do serious blogging of the Olympics you can get information for Press Accreditation from the Media Info 2004 site. I haven't tried to contact them but I suppose they will be helpful. I don’t now what the 2004 Olympics policy on Weblogging is but they shouldn’t have any problems with it.

Just came back from a visit to the Greek National Gallery and stroll around Kolonaki, Syndagma Square and Monastiraki. I haven’t seen so many people in the center of Athens in mid August before. It was amazing because most of them where tourists that are here for the Olympic games. Tourists normally avoid Athens witch has acquired (rightfully up to a point) the reputation of an ugly, dirty, polluted and congested city that is worth only for a quick visit to the Acropolis hill before leaving for the Islands. It was also a surprise to see Athens so clean, with old buildings restored and small parks with newly planted trees and flowers. I hope this continues and that more people will come to visit us and come back again and again.
