OSXFAQ - Technical News and Support for Mac OS X: "If you hold down Option when you drag a file onto iTunes main window, the choice you've made for "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" is temporarily reversed. So if the checkbox is checked, holding down Option will NOT copy files. Conversely, if the checkbox isn't checked, holding down Option will copy the file(s) to your iTunes Music folder."

Monday, October 7 10:39 AM. Something just occurred to me. The Beatles are missing one lead singer and one guitarist. The Who are now short a drummer and a bass player. Should these four guys at least take a meeting together or something? [Andy Ihnatko's YellowText]

The State of AppleScript: Another View. Studio Log: “Applescript Studio is the crown jewel of current AppleScript capability. This extension of the Project Builder/Interface Builder IDE allows the use of AppleScript as the programming language for bonafide, powerful applications that can operate on their own and communicate directly with other applications and the shell. Complex interfaces can be created using drawers, tabs, sheets, progress bars, forms, panels and so on.” [ranchero.com]

Moving iCal events from one calendar to another [Mac OS X Hints]

.< 12:53:11 PM >

David Pogue emailed us about completing a new edition of his bestselling Mac OS X book:
Just thought I'd let you know that the second, Jaguar edition of "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual" is now available at Amazon for 30% off. At this moment, it's the first and only Mac OS X 10.2 book available - and, I'm proud to say, a doozie. It's 25% longer than the first edition, and covers everything, including iCal, iSync, Rendezvous, Sherlock 3, Find File, Windows networking, virtual private networking, the works. Even includes a "Where'd It Go"? Dictionary for Windows switchers.
[Macintouch]
Pogue is the best technology writer I've ever read. Completely refreshing. If you don't have an OS X book, buy this one. I own the earlier edition and am loving it.
