Finally, someone decides that the hit on Jim Miller was a little shady.

Remember Ted our old "friend in the business". My old "friends" went to the recycling heap last month. I dumped Ted when after I bought the first Dell and compared the two side by side. Neither are bad machines but the mechanical design of the Dell won me over. The Dell is engineered, the Gateway was put together by a tin knocker who most likely worked in the barn with Ted in the early days. Hmmm....can't immediately find the link for the PC recycling place in West Chicago which will happily take your old antique machines.

SIN: Practiced 1 hour today, finger pain is getting better but still less than pleasant. Tomorrow is the third lesson. Week one we had lines 1-18, week two lines 19-40. Went into week two class feeling really good about having the lines down well. This fell apart when he (Clarence the teacher) decided to play along. At this point I lost all competence and the connection between brain and fingers went right out the window. He actually had me sweating, I don't rattle easy but after picking just about every string but the one I intended I was fluster like I haven't been in years.
So, week two sees improvement, I have the left hand working the B and E strings and the right picking G, B & E. The progress is slow and very fustrating. Playing music (if you could call it that) which doesn't even sound like music when I get it right. I was excited cause this week I have Yankee Doodle and Simplified Jingle Bells. Neither are going well but Sheri did hear Jingle Bells atleast once so there is something positive. I'm not feeling good about any of this week's lines but we trudge onward.

"Sweating like a pig" ?? but a pig does not sweat. Hmmm.....best I could come up with is the pig in a bacon factory who knows things look bleak. I googled this and the best it came up with was this. More background here includes Piggy Myths and while researching we learned that before the 1930s one would not have said this.
Another tidbit from today, the day that Amazon turned a profit. Did you know that if you are lucky enough to buy from a deadbeat seller at Amazon MarketPlace that they will borrow your money for at least 30 days before you can even ask for it back ? They call this a guarantee. If you read carefully you will learn that after the third escapade such as this, you are out of luck.
