Sprint Broadband Direct, one of few options for those with no cable and no central office close.   They are not selling it to new customers currently. I am pleased that despite their decision to not sell any more of the current technology, they are supporting the installed base.  This is so uncorporate.   Thank god it wasn't Worldcomm Broadband Direct.

I have to high five Sprint on this one too as they originally couldn't get out to visit my unhappy pipe for like 3 weeks.  They called the following day and moved me up to 6 days from my first call including 2 weekend days on a holiday weekend.  So, it turned out to be 4 business days from call to their arrival.   I learned from the service guy that they flew him out from Colorado Springs because they had so many service calls.   I hate to hear there is a need for a lot of service but am super pleased that they would bring someone in Colorado to help with their backlog locally.

I am a happy Sprint customer today.  Did I mention I use their long distance, phone cards and PCS too ?

Ah, the joys of having the big pipe back.   Antenna on roof was full of water which makes for very unhappy pipe.
