Cubs moment today ?  sometime in the later innings a fan runs on the field, as usual now days the TV coverage does not show the clown to cut down on his 15 minutes of fame.  Turns out this guy is original and gets down on his hands and knees (this as we hear it from Chip and Steve) and worships Sam, then apparently he starts rolling pieces of cork at Sammy.  Doesn't throw them, just rolls them in some fashion.   The television coverage on WGN eventuaally caves and shows us a close up of one of the corks.   From there they pan to Sammy who is trying not to grin.

Cubs win, Cubs open road trip with a shutout, now it's time to sit cork boy down and get on with winning the division.  Yankees came through this evening by taking out the Astros which puts the Cubbies back in a tie for first.  Now if we can just get through the rest of June.  If you are not on the bandwagon yet, now would be the time.

More from today's Trib, Judge blocks SBC rate law, this is too good to be true. They tried to strong arm this one through, this will slow them at least.
