I just don't get it. What would you say if I offered a service to you which would place pop ups in front of your face constantly trying to sell you stuff ? There is loads of new software to help blast pop ups. People pay money to get software to keep having to deal with the popups. What if I told you that I could offer you a service which would offer you some value but you will be forced to deal with pop ups asking you if you want to buy stuff several times an hour ? Ah but you get the worst email client on the planet too so why not ? you could download music too but there will be constant pop up ads and you have to pay extra for that music too.
You would expect that this would be free and supported by the pop up ad revenue right ? No one on earth would pay for this would they ? How can you snooker people into doing this ? Did I mention that the service will come from the folks who are an ongoing target of the SEC for their accounting practices ? AOL the worldwide wow. Can you say gooooiiiiingggg down. Stick a fork in these folks. The only question left is how quickly it tanks and how much of Time Warner goes with it.

George Bush: "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman, and I think we ought to codify that one way or another. And we've got lawyers looking at the best way to do that." // This is what I call krap. Can you imagine with all the problems we have in the world that there are people spending time looking into this ?

Today, I truly am amazed at the technology blossoming before my eyes. I add Rolling Stone's reviews RSS feeds to my aggregator so I can read the reviews I love to read but I don't have to deal with the rest of the magazine if I don't want to. From there, I see a review of something I've never heard of. They talk of this guy doing Unplugged and his fans singing back every song. I have to check this out.
I read it @ Rolling Stone, I then feed the artist's name to Rhapsody and I am listening to it streamed to my desktop. Legally none the less. It is a beautiful thing when technology works for the end user. Spoken as a software engineer who knows and appreciates the contributions of Dave, Harvard and of course Rolling Stone to make this happen. I think I might even buy the mag tomorrow just cause I can and I love Rolling Stone this evening more than I have at anytime in the last 25 years. Thanks Dave !!!!
