O'Reilly Network: A Quick Look at the Compact Framework [April 30, 2002]
This looks cool. I guess I may need to break down and switch to a CE based PDA and give my Palm to my daughter. I still wonder what new cool web services will pop up. I love the Starbucks finder but I have a hard time justifying a $600 PDA with GPS so I can find the nearest starbucks or get movie trailers (not that I don't find that really cool). Stock listings are a good idea, but that's not my bag. The best use I have had for mobile PDAs came last year. I had wrote a program that took hours to run and needed some minor intervention on my part. I had to go my daughters softball game. So I had the program email me at the critical times and allow me control the program from my PDA. I had Omnisky then. I ended up canceling it because it was too unstable.
