Scott raises some interesting points about dead markets. In my opinion the software market will remain dead until we figure out that computers are good for something other than running MS Office. The only Office App I use regularly is Outlook (aka the virus portal). What I have never understood is why the vast majority of Windows users need only a Web Browser, email tool, wordpad, and Acrobat but companies shell out Billions to Microsoft so everyone can have Office on their machines. I guess creating a free PIM would allow windows users to have all they need without Office so I guess this is a good start tpwrds the Office Free world.
