Heavy manure The German Federal Environmental Agency, the "Umweltbundesamt" (=UBA), sees chances to further reduce the heavy metal burden of liquid manure. Results of a recent study including 20 animal farms suggest high burden of copper and zinc, presumably from claws bathing and feeding additives. Hum, why not look into other manure contaminants, e.g. detergents, drugs, feeding enhancers, and growth promotors? 12:29:24 AM
