Sheila Lennon -- Barb Palser, online news editor at the Poynter Institute, interviewed Lennon recently. The resulting column Every Last Word: Sources who publish transcripts of their interviews? It’s becoming more common was published in the January issue of American Journalism Review. Much of Palser's article focuses on Lennon having published the entire text of her email interview with David Gallagher for his New York Times story about blogging in September 2002. Lennon is nonplussed. She says, "I'm surprised so much fuss has been made about that NYT transcript. The web offers an unlimited newshole, and links can go anywhere. "Volunteer" sidebars to all sorts of stories pop up like weeds in blogosphere."

Extend Your Reach by Sharing Your Stuff

DUBLIN -- I heard "I Want to Hold Your Hand" on a friend's transistor radio. That was the first rock song I remember hearing. I later bought a collection set of Beatles hits. I heard all of Eminem's rap singles online. I have bought two of his albums. The best way a band can make it big is by reaching out with devotees through shared media.
