There's now 10 member sites on board (not bad for the first day). As soon as they all get their buttons added to their home pages, it'll get interesting. So far, 4 sites have buttons in place and the logs are showing some activity. If you have a Radio weblog, I hope you'll join in the flow-makin' fun.
There's more info in this morning's post about the network.

Listening to it now - it is different for sure and I think I like it.

The little network, which I'm calling "jenett.radio.randomizer", is now up and running (beta). There's 5 member sites so far, plus 2 more I haven't processed yet - I'm holding off to give the current members a chance to add the button to their sites. The more sites that join, the better this baby's gonna be!
If you've already received an email from me with the button code, please let me know when you've added it to your home page - thanks.

My little teaser post last night about this cute little button has already brought 5 responses from curious Radio users. I'm tickled. That's positive enough response for me to proceed, so here's the scoop...
The idea is to create a network of Radio weblogs, all tied together by the little button. Each member site would display the button, linked to a script on my server that redirects the user to another random member site. The user can continue surfing the network by pressing the button displayed on each site.
It's not a new concept and it does work to increase traffic to members' websites. The i2k network, which I created in 1999 is a working sample of the idea. This network would have a different set of criteria for joining, a simplified approach as far as the script goes, and the link will open in the same window instead of a new one. Otherwise, it's just like i2k.
To join the network, you simply have to be using Radio to produce your weblog and must be willing to display the linked button image anywhere above the fold on your home page.
I'll be developing the new script within the next few days. If you're interested in joining (i.e., willing to display the linked button), just let me know and you'll be included in the original database.

When it's ready to go, I'll let you know the link to use for the button... thanks!
