"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

[3:01:49 PM]
One very good thing in Palo Alto is the Stanford Theater. They're going through every Cary Grant movie. The other day I saw "She done him wrong"; written by and starring Mae West. I suppose I've seen some Mae West movies, but not for a long time. Bawdy lines, she wrote for herself.

[1:37:19 PM]
Mae West to the first energy company executive: "Is that George Bush in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

Mae West to the second energy company executive: "Is that George Bush in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

Mae West to the third....

You can tell it's an old joke, because it doesn't mention Ken Lay.

Mae West to Ken Lay: "So that really was George Bush in your pocket. Never mind."
