"Smile is both an AppleScript editor for beginners, and an integrated environment for AppleScript developers. Smile is scriptable, attachable (its objects have scripts), recordable, and factored (internally scripted)."
Satimage Software makes Smile freely available to the Apple[Scripters] community. Smile 1.8.7 is a quick attempt to make Smile compatible with AppleScript 1.7 and it is suggested that users use Smile 1.8.4 and AppleScript 1.6 rather than Smile 1.8.7 and AppleScript 1.7.
