Today's Additions to ScriptBuilders

Change Startup Disk 1.0.1 - Bypasses the system preferences to change the startup disk.

UNIX Breaks - Droplet to convert a text document's line breaks from Macintosh to UNIX.

DesktopRebuilderX 1.0.2 - Attempts to rebuild your desktop by deleting the files which keep track of desktop-type information. Now works on user directories that aren't in the boot disk.

Image Info 2.0 - Image Info is a solution for scripters and non-scripters which returns information about image files without loading the whole image into memory. Because it does not need to open entire images, it returns the info very quickly.

Kanzu Utilities: Image Info 2.0

Image Info update gets more info including EXIF and IPTC data.

Image Info has been updated to version 2.0, which can now retrieve more info from images than before, including EXIF and IPTC data, ICC Color profile info, JPEG comments, layer, alpha channel and clipping path info, fonts, colors and much more.

Image Info is an AppleScript solution for retrieving information about images. Because Image Info does not open images to gather info, it returns the info very quickly.

Image Info is for both scripters and non-scripters alike. Those with little or no AppleScript experience can take advantage of the three dozen ready made scripts included. There are script applets to preflight images, find RGB images, find images by IPTC keyword, create HTML image tags, rename EXIF JPEGs to their date, batch processing, and more. Of course, those with some scripting no-how can write any kind of script for Image Info, or just edit the ones included.

Image Info and the included script applets are fully compatible with both Classic and OS X.

Image Info costs $35.00 and a demo can be downloaded from Kanzu Utilities. A slimmer version of Image Info Image Info Lite, is also available for $19.00.
