QUOTE OF THE DAY
"The fight against terrorism cannot succeed unless we can also project the
vision of a better world. The United States must lead the fight against
poverty, ignorance, and repression with the same urgency, determination, and
commitment of resources as the war on terrorism."

Rhino here:
Imagine that instead of having water on tap in your home, you have to walk
miles each day to collect it. Imagine that when you reach the water source
it is a muddy hole in a dried-up river bed. Over 1.1 billion people in the
world do not have access to safe water supplies close to home.
WaterAid is the UK's only major charity dedicated to the provision of safe
water, effective sanitation and hygiene promotion to the world's poorest
people. WaterAid works in fifteen countries in Africa and Asia and has
helped over six and a half million people to date.
Thames Water (UK) has set up a website associated with Water Aid. If 2
million people click on the web site listed below within the next few weeks,
Thames will donate £50,000 to provide safe drinking water for 10,000 people..
But 400,000 more clicks are required to meet the target. Go click! It only
takes a minute, and there's other interesting goings-on at the site.
