Getting 16-bit Visual C++

Alex, in a comment to my post on Visual C++ 1.0 asks:

Hello! I have been looking for Visual C++ 1.0 (1.52 also works) without success. For this reason, Google has sent me to your blog... Is there a way to get access to this software? Please, help me! Alex

If you are an MSDN subscriber, Visual C++ 1.52 is available on MSDN Subscriber Downloads under the Developer Tools\Visual C++ node.  It is available in English and Japanese.

There might also be a way to get it as a fullfilment item from product support but I'm not sure about that.  I'll try to find this out and report back.

[Update - 7/8/2005]
I talked to my friend in VC Developer Support and he said there's no way to get a copy of 16-bit VC++ from anywhere other than MSDN.  (Actually, he did mention that if you could find someone selling VC++ 4.0 it is included in the box but...)
