Getting a bit humid.... it was cool most of the day but suddenly it isn't. Haven't figured it out yet.... ok... it's me, not the weather.
I'm not a fan of bugs, real or virtual. Especially at night... the little ones that somehow make it into the house past the screens on the windows.... I wonder if one of the screens I just repaired has a new hole in it...

Playing with CGI on VMS with Apache. I'm working my towards an XML-RPC-ish version of one of our applications. Basically, all I have to do is wrap an XML-RPC shell around a pre-existing application. So I gutted the origianl application so it wouldn't get in the way... and am building the bits and pieces to deal with XML and CGI. Then I'll start adding functions back to it.
Did I mention it's in Compaq Basic ? Not exactly Basic as the PC types know it. This Basic is quite capable of heavy lifting....
There are some quirks.... not the least of which is that I can't find any examples of Compaq Basic being used for CGI so I'm flying blind. And I don't have an XML-RPC client to test with... so telneting to Apache and entering it all by hand is getting tedious. Especially dealing with content-length. For some reason I'm not getting that right. I'm having to count more characters than I thought I was entering....
Fun stuff... non-work hours stuff (unless I get somewhere in which case I can actually use it.)
