Every so often... someone leaves their phone number and just their name on my answering machine requesting that I call them.
Nope. Sorry...
If you don't tell me why I should call you back and I don't recognize one of:
- your voice
- your name
- your phone number
Don't expect me to call you. I'm going to assume it's a tele-marketer/droid.
And even if you do leave a message... if the person you are looking for is my ex-wife (it happens, even though we've been divorced for over 5 years and I live a 1000 miles away from her and she has never, to my knowledge, lived at my current address ) -- I certainly am NOT going to call you back to help you get in contact with her. I don't tell random strangers/bill collectors/telemarketers the phone numbers/addresses of family members (even ex-family members.).
If it is important enough... stick the message in an envelope and mail it to me. If you don't have my address? It must not be important (The government, family, and everyone I owe money to or do business with have my USPS address and they know how to use it.)
And e-mail? Spam gets thrown out (and if I don't recognize it? It's spam.)
