The battery died on the little alarm dongle I have for my 530i. I couldn't find my spare so I had to do the "open and jump in and turn it on quickly" dance so I wouldn't wake up too many people with the alarm. I found the spare when I got home.
And I was already late...
And when I go home... the car gave an unencouraging sound. Sort of a clacking sound --?-- Not sure what it was. Hope it isn't anything serious (if it was an engine noise... it'll be serious). Probably related to another noise I heard a couple weeks ago that couldn't be narrowed down to anything specific by my favorite mechanic. One of those "It only does it when it gets hot" kinds of sounds.
We'll see...
