I bought the T a camera while she was here a few weeks ago. A Nikon CoolPix S6. (On sale/cheap because it's been replaced by a newer model).
She tried to use it the other day and it seems to have stopped taking pictures. Hard to tell from a 1000 miles away but it sounds like it is stuck in "slideshow mode" or the lens cover is stuck closed. Or maybe the battery is too low to power the LCD view screen in picture mode? Or she accidentally found a setting that turned off the lcd monitor/view screen.
Browsing the internet for info/suggestions was very frustrating. There seem to be millions of web sites with sales info for Nikon cameras or sites with tons of search tags that match but almost no real info. I found two sites that had ANY info on cameras that seemed useful.

but no solutions. This site: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/ has a lot of info but none for that specific camera.
And Nikon's web site had nothing even remotely useful for this.
