Urinary Tract Follies III

I am tres bummed. My urinary tract infection is not an infection at all. The culture came back negative. So I have all this pain which is just getting worse and the cause is unknown. Grrrrrr.....

I really hate this. I feel like a doofus. A doofus in pain. Because it can't be identified, it's as if no one believes me. Back to the "it's all in your head" syndrome. And let me tell you, urinary tract problems affect one on a much deeper level than other body malfunctions. It hits you at the core of who you are.

I am going to do another course of Diflucan (the sledgehammer for  yeast infections). I've also discovered that if I take four advil every four hours, the pain backs down to an annoying dull roar. I'll give the situation until Wednesday. If I am still in the same boat, I'll head to both my gyn and urologist to get a handle on what's going on.

I'm also considering trying a micro-amount of amitriptyline. It does wonders for my Irritable Bladder. But I went off of it because it jacks up my heart rate. However, I don't think that 2.5 mgs will have much heart rate impact. So I may try that also in the next day or two.

I know one thing - whatever it is, is sapping my strength. I skate skied four miles tonight and almost died. No oommph at all on a warm, almost spring skiing like evening.
