Robotics is being used for more and more interesting tasks. For instance, the Johns Hopkins Advanced Physics Laboratory is developing a low-cost land mine detector that can be operated either autonomously or by remote control.
And in the Mideast, a bomb squad robot was employed to deal with a bomb on the hoof, so to speak.
