Fog Creek's .Net Strategy Joel's already been abused for his earlier mocking of .Net, so I'll refrain. However, Joel's one of my favorite resources for software development ideas, so I'm glad he posted his thoughts. I'm even more glad that he's validating what I think.

One thing is that he says MS broke the "no rewrite" rule.  I don't think this is true - .Net isn't a rewrite of anything, it's a totally new product.
