TORONTO -- A Toronto area teacher was "shocked and disturbed" to discover a geography assignment she handed out to her students on Monday contained messages she says are anti-Semitic.

The grade 8 geography resource was written to show push factors in migration. To show an example of religious persecution, the chapter talks about Jews taking over a neighborhood, burning a church, and forcing a Christian family to leave.
In this text that is used to teach grade 8 children in Ontario, Jewish youths control local shop owners by breaking their windows, and wrecking their stores if they sell to Christians.
It is the only migration example that identifies an oppressor by race or religion.
