Calories from a Coffee with Milk at Starbucks About a year ago someone gave me a Startbucks card (as a gift) with $20 on it.  I never go to Starbucks, but when one opened in my building, I decided to use the card.   What to drink?  Well the Caffè Latte seemed to be a good choice.  I figure it is a fancy name for Coffee with milk.   So for the last two mornings I have had a treat, I think.   While the server is doing her little perfomance, making the drink, I see a brochure called "Calories by the cup". So I glance at it to see how many calories I just ordered in my "Venti" Caffè Latte.   340 Calories!   What is in this thing?  A shot of expresso (10 calories max) and 330 Calories of steamed whole milk!   I am shocked.  This is the same number of calories as a Mcdonalds Bacon Cheeseburger.   Now I discover there is 157 Calories in a whole cup of whole milk.  What are they doing at Starbucks putting two cups of Milk in my Caffè Latte? 8:45:15 AM
