Alternative paths to careers in journalism and technical writing Dorian Benkoll at Corante interviewed New York Times tech writer and blogger David Pogue about his ventures into videography,  and turned up some surprising information about this major-media journalist's career path. Pogue, who also has written a few dozen books and recently landed a show on the Discovery Channel, turns out to be a frustrated composer who graduated Yale as a music major... talents that came in handy on one of his recent videoblogs... setting his review of the iPhone to music.
