Jack Kirby interview in MP3 format. The Comics Journal is known for running excellent, long interviews with the world's best comic book artists. The editor of The Comics Journal's site just clued me in to the archive of taped interviews. Right now you can download over an hour's worth of conversation between Fantagraphics owner Gary Groth and Jack "King" Kirby (my favorite comic book artist).
Dirk, the editor says "Kirby's up until Friday, when we'll be replacing the files with excerpts from our Ralph Steadman interview (including a great account of his first meeting with Hunter S. Thompson).
Link Discuss [Boing Boing Blog]
I've downloaded the MP3s and will make them available to anybody who asks (unless I'm overrun with requests). Just use the email link on the left to send me a message. I'm going to check my available space on www.fuddmain.com and I'll post the files there for limited time, if possible. Matter of fact, I'll probably move this entire blog to that site. It's been my Zope sandbox for the last year and I might as well put something useful on it.
12:34:29 AMNew Category: Comic Books
The category will contain news and reviews from the world of comic books. Don't expect much initially, as I have a large pile of comics to be read. I don't seem to have much time for any reading outside of work and school. Oh yeah, the wife and kids need attention, too
