A man I had never met and I were both working out in a gymnasium in Port Townsend WA. I overheard a conversation in which he mentioned a drugstore that delivered my father the obstetrician's prescriptions to patients . (My father practiced medicine years ago and more than 850 miles away.) I asked this stranger if he knew my father to which he answered, You're Sam Hall's kid? He delivered my son?

He later turned out to have gone to high school with the bagpiper who lived next door to the doctor's (my/our) family.

The former stranger and I now get together nearly weekly for a dominoes game. (110 words)
