Russell, James, and Cedric are on the Quest for next Killer App. Cedric tells:
I remember way back in... 1994, I guess, I took a look at this brand new fancy Motif application called Mosaic. I was a PhD student back then and I vividly remember our whole team gathered around a screen and marveling at what a nifty Motif application it was. As for the application itself, we found the concept very dull (and it was true back then, considering that there were maybe ten Web sites in the world). The interesting thing is that we were an R&D team. We were supposed to be on the look out for the next killer technology.
I think people having a greater chance disovering the nex Killer App are those more specialized in sociology, human behaviour, and ergonomics rather than technicians or engineers.
