While looking around for some "new" CDs to buy, I stopped at the remastered version of "Script for a Jester's tear" by Marillion - I have the none remastered version for many years now, but had the chance to hear the remastered one. And it's definitly worth to buy.
Anyway, I wanted to say something about reviews. On the "product page" of the CD is an interesting review comparing - guess what - Genesis with Marillion. And I think that this comparision is so funny, that I have to repeat some parts of it here: "You have to play Genesis songs with half speed and each band member must only use one arm to come near to the bloodless arrangements of Marillion. And even the psychological and physilogical texts which Fish sings with exagerated pathos, are nothing compared to the surrealism of the Gabriel-epics." Isn't this fun?
To make myself clear: I am a big fan of Marillion and I'm a much bigger fan of Genesis. Such reviews always remind me of the love and hate with the "greatest" german pop band ever: Modern Talking....
