Testing Servers

It seems that I'm getting used to test server...on monday we all tested the Apache bugzilla installation by working with about 25 people simultanously on cleaning up the bug entries for Cocoon - and in some cases bugzilla was slow as hell - but still stable!

Now, I'm updating the Cocoon CVS site module and this seems to be a very good test for mail servers. Let's wait for the outcome!

Status of Dywel?

I keep getting asked what the status of Dywel is (and most often "what the hell is Dywel?" also). Well, too be honest, I don't know the answer to both. Some of you have been waiting for me to explain it on the GT hackathon - without success :) Apart from my try to make a joke about it (forking etc.) I hadn't much too tell.

But I think, also Dywel is currently simply nothing, it's a success. People start thinking about building web applications with Cocoon and they start to think about what is missing in Cocoon and what might have to change. I know, this is not only because of Dywel, there are many reasons for it and Dywel is only a small one. But that's not important.

The other reason why I think starting Dywel has been a success, is that I can come to ideas about how to change/extend Cocoon: I tried to present two ideas of them at the GT - multi-continuations (or however you call it), and "packing units" for flow. I will try to write some RTs in the next weeks and see if we can get this somehow implemented.

And yes, I will continue Dywel  which means doing nothing...except keeping the idea.
