I wonder what the analysis will be after the fact, now that Dean
dropped to third in Iowa. Don't do negative ads? Be civil? Don't bring
outsiders in?
I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the Dean campaign, to find out where things went awry.
Is it just that Dean supporters are annoying? And with an election as
personal as the caucuses, they irritated the locals? Trying to order
lattes, the same kids who abandoned their small towns for the big
cities?
I think I'll be more fascinated with the post caucus analysis than the pre-caucus build up.
If for no other reason, I want to have Dean run for president to see
him dismantle Bush, without being snide or condescending about it, with
teeth.
