PS I know lots of people have sent in new java.blogs - I apologise for not getting them up, I have a little queue of 5 or 6 to come. I'll get there - thanks for your patience!

Oh - and how's this for amusing? Someone decided to post about JIRA to the FogzBugz forum under the heading "Bug Tracking" - and now we look bad:
"I might have been interested in having a look at JIRA but if this poster is reflective at all of the outfit behind it, I'm completely turned off."
I'm sure the poster didn't intend it - but it's not very good publicity to be mouthing off about one product on a competitors forums. An interesting exercise in corporate damage control though - it certainly was nothing to do with us.

So what's happening in my world? JIRA 2 is coming along nicely - we're hoping to have the first beta release out in a few weeks - it won't be fully feature eqipped, but that will come in the next month of betas. It's all very exciting.
If you thought issue linking was cool - wait till you see what our crazy Atlassian performing development-clowns can do with OSWorkflow, custom fields and a severe overdose of Lucene. </teaser>

Just read through all the blog news and the Java blog community is quiet at the moment - must have been a good weekend around the globe eh?
Well I went to a great 5 year school reunion, a glorious sunny brunch (Happy Birthday Lina!), bought some new boardies (yes, flames are cool) and spent the rest of the afternoon in or around the Bondi Surf in the sun. What could be better?
