BloggerCon backlash begins.

Dinner last night at a Country Cookin’ restaurant in Lynchburg, VA, the un-ironic mullet capital of the world. The guy at the table next to me wore suit pants and a tank top that showed his farmer’s tan; he looked like an extra from an old Life magazine photo of Klansmen on trial. Lots of cammo, lots of Confederate flag t-shirts…and many interracial couples and families, too. In the men’s room the radio was playing “Tempted” by Squeeze. This is a complicated culture.

We have now completed a semi-hellish drive to the Jersey Shore (rain; traffic; no room at the inn near Baltimore; more rain; more traffic) for our last bit of summer before North Carolina’s ridiculous school calendar ends all the fun.

Rush Limbaugh weighs in on dopey column, gets much wrong about who bloggers are, what they do, and why it matters. InstaPundit’s got the goods on Rush’s bad analysis.
