These post-Napster programs have been declared legal. Gnutella clients seem like a cool idea to me. I haven't used them however - the dial-up users on the network supposedly slow things down quite a bit. And I still don't like MP3 for music, because it's a step backwards from CD sound quality.
I'm totally waiting for the day when we have decentralized, digital distribution of music over the internet, as well as an improvement in sound quality (such as DVD audio or SA CD's.)
Oh yeah, and where the artists get paid too!
