I think that this may be my last post for a while. Meeting all the great people and attending all the talks at the DevCon has made me painfully aware of my failings as a technologist. I was under the mistaken impression that my blogging somehow elevated me to the same league as some of the brightest minds in the industry. I truely belived that by having bright people link to my blog was somehow a sign that they were endorsing what I had to say. The problem is that there has never been any substance to what I have blogged about. If you shoot into the dark enough times, you're bound to hit something eventually. There is no barrier to entry. It feels like cheeting.
I want more.
I want to contribute something tangible to this industry.
I want to research things that are technologically interesting.
I want to write essays, articles and books.
I want deep knowledge of topics.
I will be re-launching my site in a few weeks. It will have a completely different feel to it. No more fluff. From now on, the content is of primary importance. If I do my job, the readers should follow.
Thanks for listening.
