Dallas City Council is currently looking into plans to turn the Trinity River corridor into a park with a six lane highway running over the top of it. . .voters approved $84 million in 1998 for transportation improvements along the corridor and here we are, 5 years later with nothing to show for it. . .and the plans Laura Miller is now throwing out there sound pretty bad. . .you can read the Dallas Morning News article here and contrast that to this article in the Dallas Observer and make your own decisions. . .but this is really why we can't get the damn potholes in Dallas fixed. . .

Ironic that we elected Miller for just this goal and that she's now in Belo's back pocket, coming up with plans to put the city more in hock. . .
